My Vision
"Spread your Wings"

I am Lion Ujjal S Kular, your District Governor.
I would like to share my Lions Journey with you so you know me better.
I became a member of the Lions family on 23rd January 1995 and joined Taverham & District Lions Club, it was also my son’s birthday as it happened to be.

I served on various committees of the Club, and became the Chair of the Social Committee in the first year. This suited me fine, and I had a fantastic time for three years, organising events, outings and Charter functions.

I then became the Club President and served two separate terms. I became a Zone Chairman multiple times and I enjoyed this post very much; I was able to meet Lions further afield and learn more from them about the Lions organisation.

Serving on the District became a pleasurable habit as I took on responsibility for:
  • District Club Extensions Chairperson
  • District L.C.I.F. Liaison Officer
  • District Physical and Learning Disabilities Officer
  • District Almoner.

I attended the Lions Leadership Institute (ALLI) in March2017, where I met Lions Leaders from other countries and we are still in touch with each other. Since then, I have served as 2nd VDG, 1st VDG, 1st VDG again due to redistricting and now I am your serving District Governor.

I am also a former serviceman, having served in the RAF, and have pleasant memories.

I am married to Manjit and have a grown-up family and two grandchildren.
