I am PDG Lion Gurcharan (Guch) Manku PMJF, a Charter Member of Nottingham West Lions since 1993, when having moved to Nottingham, I was asked to help start a new service club – a lovely opportunity to volunteer and make new friends.

Lion Adrian Robinson

itlead@lions105ce.org.uk
I joined Clacton on Sea Lions Club in 1987 and currently run my Club’s website and social media and after almost 30 years as a District Officer, I have been leading the IT Team for the past 2 years.
Although not an IT professional, I have been a heavy user of personal computers ever since they first became available.
My current duties are to guide our webmasters in developing the current website to fulfil its aim to be a useful tool and source of information for all our members as well as the public. Our website is constantly being refined at present. In addition,  I also assist with IT queries from Club Members as they crop up.

Lion Verdun Webley

itcbulletin@lions105ce.org.uk & itcnewsletter@lions105ce.org.uk
I worked as a teacher, examiner, and as a manager in the Leisure Industry before retiring at the age of 52. I became a Lion to serve others and to give back some of the advantages I had. I have expertise ranging from Art and Physical Exercise through Engineering to IT.
As the editor of the Monthly Newsletter, I work towards improving the knowledge of lions in the wider community by showing the things accomplished by all clubs in the district.
As editor of the Bulletin, I enable a platform for clubs to advertise their projects and activities; and enable interested parties to join the circulation lists.
I work with the rest of the ICT/PR/Comms team to develop this aspect of the district as we move into the future.

Innovations Officer
Lion Ash Chaplin

itcinnovations@lions105ce.org.uk
I’m Ash, and I’m a member of Southend Lions Club. I initially joined Lions in 2017, as I was keen to join an organisation that really makes a difference within the community. As I have a background in IT, I serve within Lions by using my skills to help organise and administer Lion’s web-services.
My role at club level is to manage community web-media and formulate ideas on how to capture community engagement. As part of the ICT and Comms team at district level, my role as Innovations Officer is to innovate ideas on how we can utilise technology within the district to:
  • Enhance our efficiency as an organisation with the use of modern technology
  • Better serve the community, by raising awareness to our mission by increasing community engagement through web-media
I aim to achieve this by identifying systems and developing processes that can be simply implemented at club level.
