Who are the Leos?

Who Are the Leos?
Leos are young people just like you, ready to make a difference!
What Do Leos Do?
Leos are part of an awesome global movement supported by the Lions, one of the largest service organisations in the world. As a Leo, you’ll get involved in projects that make your community a better place.
Here’s just some of what Leos do:
Collect for food banks to help those in need.
Take on sponsored challenges to raise money for good causes.
Join gleaning projects (rescuing surplus crops from farms).
Help Santa’s sleigh rides bring festive joy to families.
Support Lions events as young, energetic volunteers.
Leos can be based in schools or the community—it’s all about what works for you and your friends!

What Does LEO Stand For?
Leadership. Experience. Opportunity. And most importantly: Let’s Enjoy Ourselves!
Why Should You Join?
Being a Leo isn’t just about helping others—it’s about having fun, meeting new people, and developing skills that’ll make you stand out. It’s a chance to step up as a leader, work on exciting projects, and make memories while giving back to your community.
For Lions, working with Leos is rewarding too—it’s a chance to team up with passionate young people, boost your events with extra energy, and maybe even grow the Lions family through connections with Leos or their families.
Ready to lead, make an impact, and have fun? Become a Leo today!

We have a new PR tool in the form of the Leo postcard, designed by an ex Leo and current Lion. It features real UK Leos and has been designed to particularly appeal to the Alpha Leos, see pictures of the postcard below.

So what are you waiting for? Talk about it with your Club and invite me to a meeting by contacting Jaime Speed.
