Why not start a Lions Club in your area continued  …….

What will it cost?
As a member of Lions Clubs International we pay dues to the organisation to cover administration costs. This is something we are proud of as every penny we raise goes towards a worthy cause. The membership subscription is in the order of £1.50 per week.

What worthy causes do Lions Clubs support?
Although part of Lions Clubs International, a Lions Club has flexibility in supporting worthy causes of their choice. This can be to fulfil an individuals’ needs or that of an organisation.

What do we have to do?
Lions Clubs have a motto of ‘We Serve’ and that in essence is what Lions do, weather that is in service by giving of your time or by obtaining generous donations from the public and redistributing this to those with a need.

Why join the Lions?
The Lions are worldwide having in the order of 1.4 million members and have a great reputation being class the No 1 Non-Governmental Service organisation in the world.

What Benefits will I get from being a Lion?
When you become a Lion you get to serve the community, make a difference, make new friends, enjoy a rewarding experience, learn, grow and share, grow as a family, develop as a leader, expand your horizons, share your talents and continue a Club’s legacy.

Your local Lions Club and Lions Clubs International gives you the opportunity to volunteer locally, and/or internationally, make new friends and professional connections. Lead project that make your community a better place to live, and have fun doing it.

You see the joy in people’s hearts when they say thank you, and the smile of a child. It’s all those things that make you realise you’ve done something for your community.

We are not just Lions, we are not just friends, we are a family. Lions can be the whole family. It can be everyone, because that’s really what community is – its everyone.

The personal development opportunities are endless. You get to use and develop your talents and skill sets in a breadth of opportunities.

We bring together people of different backgrounds, so that we can work together on one single project. And by doing that we are serving our community, and we serve the world.

It gives us a great opportunity to work together as nations, sharing the same projects. Our Leo and Campus Clubs are very rewarding for the young people and it’s exciting because it’s a unique opportunity. We have both an international and a local focus.
