Sergeant at Arms Team Leader
Lion John Potter
Convention Host
Lion John Potter

I joined March Lions Club in 2011 and have held the posts of Press Officer, Welfare Officer and President twice. I have also served the District as Zone and Region Chairs.

I have significant organisational and administrative expertise through my 20+ years as a Senior Leader in Education.

My current role as Sergeant at Arms is to ensure that District Cabinet meetings run smoothly and efficiently especially at the ‘badging-up’ ceremony. I also work closely with the District CNRO and DG Team to build and deliver the programme for the Convention Business Meeting.

My current role as Convention Host is to ensure, through liaison and negotiation, that the venue(s) for our Convention are suitable, value for money and can be delivered within budget. I work closely with the SPT, Convention Committee and myself as SAA to carry out this function.

I am now the District Convention Host Chair for 2022, my role is to make sure the District has the kind of Convention that members deserve, I will do my best to make it fun and entertaining, why don't you come along to our District Convention and see if I manage to do that!
