Gift For Living
Gift for Living' is a charitable initiative focusing on the needs of children and their families who have suffered as a result of international conflict in the former Yugoslavia.
It was established in 1996, after a convoy of lorries and an intrepid group of Lions and supporters in 1995 took 100,000 shoeboxes filled with necessities and small luxuries to stricken communities in Croatia.
Gift for Living has subsequently provided medical treatment and paediatric training saving the lives of many unfortunate children.
Hospital units have been provided and fully equipped, focusing on children, maternity, paediatric accident and emergency, and intensive care in East and West Mostar, Gorazde, Sarajevo, Bihac and Banja Lunka'.
