Did you know, your Club can help support your local primary schools and inspire children to 'think big' and 'dream big', creating world changing ideas!!
The Lions ROAR Programme is first Multiple District Youth Programme since the 90's, it is an absolutely fantastic programme and since the start, Lions have engaged over 125,000 children, vastly enriching their learning, and Lions have had great fun on the way too.
The ROAR programme is digital and is organised and run by 8billionideas the award-winning education company.
Your Lions Club can sponsor as many schools as they wish, clubs have sponsored between one and ten schools in recent years, enriching the learning experience in their local primary schools. It is a £185 well spent on this brilliant Youth service project. The programme can also be linked to other youth programmes such as Wild Tribe Heroes and The Peace Poster.

The Ideal Time Line for your ROAR Programme:
- February / March - your Club should agree to fund & run the programme
- May / June - your Club should engage with schools and get their agreement to resource and run the programme
- June / July - you should enrol schools on the 8billionideas system (Typeform Page) and send fund to your District Treasurer
- Early September - get involved and help with the 'in school' programme launch
- Mid November - help judge School Finals and ensure they get their winner's videos to 8billionidaes
- End End November - your ROAR District Officers will hold District Finals (they should book your DG Team on to the judging panel early)
- Early December - MD Wide - National Awards Day will be hosted by Lions and 8billionidaes where each of the District Winners are recognised for their successes.
