Young Leaders in Service

Young Leaders in Service is a project we have, that gives Lions an opportunity to work with their local Youth, aged 8 to 18.

In schools the students have to get involved with service in their communities as part of the national curriculum. As Lions we ask that the students log their hours of service, have them confirmed by the staff and then we reward them with a certificate (Bronze for 25 hours, Silver for 50 hours or Gold for 100 hours) from Lions Clubs International signed by the Chairman of Council. These awards then help the student with university and work applications.

Lions can work directly with schools, Youth Clubs, Young Carers groups, or indeed any organisation that gives young people the opportunity to serve their community.
