Lions Clubs are membership organisations which represent members in the wider field, as well as organising events and training in order to meet their charitable aims. The District guides Clubs through administrative processes and legal requirements. District Officers may be contacted through this website.
We realise the importance of confidentiality. Data may be processed in electronic formats as well as on paper. When processed electronically, data may be held on a private cloud based system and/or on a local server. Regardless of how data are processed, all feasible security measures are in place. Data is retained while it form part of our services, for historical purposes and/or if there is a statutory retention period.
Data may be shared with third parties as part of our services (ie membership administration), for our administrative purposes and/or if we are required to do so by UK law. We may also utilise data on Lions members through the Lions Clubs International database held in the USA. WE cannot accept any liability for any processing conducted by a third party outside our remit.
As part of our compliance with UK data protection legislation, we have conducted a cookie audit on our website. Cookies are internet files used by the system to view websites and their content.
